#MediaRelease - End of Mask Wearing at Public and Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics

The Ministry of Health advises the public that the Public Health Regulations [2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019 nCoV)] (No 2) 2023, will end at midnight on July 31st, 2023. As such, the wearing of masks at all public and private hospitals and medical clinics will no longer be mandatory.

We would like to issue an apology to the Dental Board of Trinidad regarding the fact that the address of the Dental Board as seen on the footer on its website temporarily read "Guyana" in the country field of the address instead of "Trinidad and Tobago". This matter was addressed promptly as it was brought to our attention and is now rectified. Further, we have adjusted the backend such that the Council is now fully in control of the footer address information, as it is for the information in other areas on the site, such that such an issue should not recur in the future.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS | 2022 National Health Research Conference | Deadline June 30

Dear Colleagues,

The FMS St Augustine will be cohosting the 2022 National Health Research Conference on November 25, 2022 and we are pleased to share the ?Call for Abstracts?.

The 2022 Conference theme is ?Pandemics, NCDs and the Future: When Emerging Infections and NCDs Meet?. Quality Abstracts in ALL health-related areas are welcome. Please note that the abstracts do not have to be consistent with the theme.

The deadline for abstracts is on June 30 (see attached). The Conference will return to an in person format and culminate with an Awards and Prize Giving Ceremony.

This is the thrid collaboration between universities in Trinidad and Tobago, the Regional Health Authorities, and the Ministry of Health (TT).
